At its intense and enveloping heart, warm and earthy notes of Swiss walnut wood accord and upcycled cedarwood add an elemental green vibrancy with balsamic undertones. On the dry-down, sensual and verdant notes of tree moss absolute and deep creamy benzoin resin leave a trail of intrepid natural strength.

Wood is formulated to showcase one hero ingredient – Swiss walnut wood – sourced from Muotathal, Switzerland. Working in collaboration with the renowned fragrance house Givaudan, Victorinox developed the scent using pioneering Headspace Technology. This innovative process harnesses the power of nature in a sustainable fragrance processing method. Essentially, Headspace Technology captures the fragrance molecules present in the air surrounding a plant, flower or botanical. These molecules are then combined with the most sensitive analytical equipment to effectively reproduce the natural scent, while keeping the precious plants, flowers and botanicals completely intact. This processing method permits an authentic olfactory experience and an innovative, environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fragrance extraction.
