Gerade die neue Verpackung finde ich gut!
Dieses Swisschamp XXL hat ja vor einiger Zeit das frühere XAVT als Top-Modell abgelöst. Verzichtet wird nun auf die anachronistische, monochrome Digitalanzeige mit Temperatur, Uhrzeit, Höhenmesser, Stoppuhr usw., alles andere ist nach wie vor vorhanden. Auch über diese Modell kann man natürlich unterschiedlicher Meinung sein. Super teuer, super breit, eigentlich ohne praktischen Nutzwert. Alles ok, aber es handelt sich um ein Sammlerstück, mit ALLEN denkbaren Victorinox-Tools, sorgfältig in hunderten Arbeitsschritten gefertigt. Anfangs wurde das Teil in der vom XAVT gewohnten, schwarzen Aufklapp-Box geliefert (der ja viele Rezensenten wohl nachtrauern) - aber da waren auf dem Transportweg zahlreiche Mikro-Kratzer auf den Cellidor-Schalen nicht zu vermeiden, auch wenn Victorinox zum Schluss noch irgendwelche Schaumstoff-Kissen beifügte. Das Problem der Kratzer hat sich mit der neuen, silbernen Papp-Box nun erledigt - bin erfreut. Noch erfreuter wäre ich aber, wenn Victorinox ein Top-Sammler-Modell mit den robusten Alox-Schalen herausbringen würde!

The XAVT without the electronic screen
In 2025, Victorinox Knife Collectors, are requesting a NEW model, a NEW XXL knife. Maybe with 100 functions instead of 74. Victorinox needs to rethink the light grey, poor quality packaging as well. It used to come in a luxury watch box.
