大家都知道我們的品牌故事。我們的創辦人 Karl Elsener 非常感謝母親 Victoria 對他的支持，因此 1909 年母親離世後，就以其名字為公司及產品命名，並在 1921 年加入「inox」，代表使用不銹鋼。
Victoria 不但是 12 個孩子的母親，她也在丈夫的帽子店裡工作，並在店裡販售兒子製作的刀具，後又轉往刀具工作坊工作。她是非常有能力的女商人，而且一直都非常樂於助人。
The same special bond between mother and son can be seen today at Schoder Messerschmiede in Thun, where son Manfred runs the workshop and his mother Hedi runs the retail shop. Like Victorinox, the business is now also in its fourth generation and dates back to 1886. Hedi and Manfred have been working together since 1992, when Manfred took over the shop after the death of his father.
“We sometimes cross swords on certain issues, but we get over it. Our fights never last longer than 5 or 10 minutes” says Manfred. Hedi smiles. This petite lady, nearing her 90th birthday, has become somewhat of an attraction in her own right. Her reputation as an inimitable source of knowledge on all things knives has spread by word of mouth, and customers come from throughout Switzerland and across the globe to visit this shop, a living relic from another age.
