Akechi Mitsuhide was a mysterious warrior and an excellent strategist renowned for his good judgement. In 1852 he defeated his superior Oda Nobunaga at Honnō-ji, the battle depicted on this stunning pocket knife. On the reverse you’ll find his clan crest, the Chinese bellflower. The subtle color scheme and silver flame denote a quiet fighting spirit.
